From frontline border operations and integrity investigations to maritime capability and international partnerships, Vanessa brings a unique perspective on how organised crime exploits legitimate systems, and how organisations can strengthen resilience in response.
About
Vanessa Ruff
Vanessa Ruff has more than 24 years of experience across the Australian Border Force and Australian Government. She has worked across frontline border operations, integrity investigations, civil maritime capability planning, international liaison and joint-agency operations.
She was the first Australian Border Force officer posted to the United States, where she built working partnerships with US and Canadian agencies. Her experience spans the Indo-Pacific and North America, including specialist training, senior delegations and international security cooperation.
